Scenario verdict
WebChat for Teams-channel focus, Social Intents for collaboration breadth
WebChat describes messages as posts in the correct Teams channel and responses from the thread. Social Intents markets live chat for Microsoft Teams, Slack and Google Chat along with a broad AI and widget feature set.
The deciding factor is not the length of either feature list. It is whether your operating model is deeply Microsoft/Entra-centred or intentionally spans multiple collaboration platforms.

Commercial comparison
Model real scale, not only the first monthly number
At review on 10 August 2026, Social Intents displayed annual/monthly prices of $39/$49 for Starter, $69/$79 for Basic, $99/$132 for Pro and $199/$265 for Business. Widget, domain, conversation and agent limits affect the applicable plan.
WebChat describes pay per channel and unlimited users per channel, but its numeric Marketplace price has not yet been reliably extracted in our independent review. Many agents with few channels can behave differently from many sites, languages and routes.
Selection rules
Which product should enter the proof of concept first?
- WebChat first: Teams channels and threads are mandatory; Entra and Power Platform are established; WhatsApp, Instagram or TikTok matter.
- Social Intents first: Slack or Google Chat is also mandatory; packaged model choices and public plan limits are preferred.
- Test both: website chat in Teams is the core need, but AI design and total-cost scaling will decide.
- Choose another category: voice contact centre, self-hosting or deep helpdesk reporting is more important than collaboration proximity.
